Zimo Market ("we," "us," or "our") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This policy details how we collect, use, and share your information when you use the Zimo Market mobile application. This policy is designed to comply with Google Play Developer Policies and international data protection standards.

2. Data Collection and Usage

We collect only the data necessary to provide a safe and efficient marketplace. Below is a full list of data types collected:

A. Personal Information

Name and Email: Collected to manage your account and identify you to other users.
Phone Number: Collected for account verification, fraud prevention, and to allow direct buyer-seller communication.
User IDs: Unique identifiers (like UUIDs) are stored to link your device to your specific account.

B. Location Information

Approximate Location: We collect non-precise location data to display relevant local ads and personalized content. This is based on network data or user-provided areas.

C. User Content (Photos & Messages)

Photos: When you list an item, we collect and store the images you upload to display them to other users.
In-App Messages: We collect and store your chat history to facilitate communication between buyers and sellers. These are stored securely on our servers.

D. App Activity & Interactions

App Interactions: We track how you interact with our app (e.g., clicks on ads, time spent in categories) to improve our service.
Search History: We store your in-app search queries to provide "Recent Search" features and personalized recommendations.

E. Device Identifiers

Device IDs: We collect hardware IDs (like Android ID) for security, analytics, and to manage push notifications.

        Security & Encryption: All data collected is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS) protocols. This ensures your information remains unreadable by third parties while moving from your device to our secure servers.
    

3. Data Sharing

Zimo Market does not sell your data. We only share data with:

Service Providers: For example, Supabase (backend/database) or notification services, which are contractually obligated to protect your data.
Legal Requirements: If required by law to prevent fraud or respond to legal requests.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as your account is active. We provide two ways for you to control your data:

In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data instantly through the "Settings" menu in the Zimo Market app.
Web Deletion: You may request deletion via our Account Deletion Request Page.

*Note: Some data may be retained for up to 180 days for fraud prevention or legal compliance (e.g., if an account was flagged for a scam).
